Alissa and Jason are friends of mine; some of the best subjects to photograph, truthfully. This weekend we set out to take some photos in honor of their engagment earlier this year. The wedding will be in 2012. We decided upon South Street Seaport as the backdrop to our session because the location had significance to both Alissa and Jason. I was excited to work with them here because it’s also one of my favorite places. A few fond memories of my childhood bring me here. And although it’s now a much different place, it’s nice to still be able to form warm memories to the Seaport.

Susan and Delroy booked me for their upcoming wedding (August 7, 2011) several months ago, back in November of 2010. As a feature of the service they booked, I was to provide an Engagement photography session for them at some point. It’d been a long and lingering winter and so we waited an uncharacteristically long time before we had consistently warm temps and sunny weather. Even under such conditions, I still went ahead and planned our session for a weekend I believed we’d have a reasonable chance of sunny skies and warm temp.
