Nick & Shayna | Rockefeller Center Proposal

The holiday season is my favorite time of year, no question. It seems to be the sole time of year when we reflect on what and who are the most important to us. That said, it’s of no surprise that December is also considered Engagement season. On Friday December 12th, Michele and I were there to witness and document just such an occasion for Nick and Shayna at Rockefeller Center, right on the ice.

Nick and I have been talking and working up to this day for a few months now, and despite all the nerves he must have had, he pulled through in carrying out one of the most elaborate and complex engagements I’ve been asked to capture to date. She said yes to his proposal and both of their parents were even at the scene to witness it.

Did I mention that they’ve all flown into NYC from Austin, TX ?

Congrats to Nick and Shayna on their recent engagement – Michele and I both wish you all the best for years to come.

My love of portrait photography at the core stems from my curiosity and interest in people’s lives. Being a New Yorker puts me in touch with so many people at any given moment that it fuels my curiosity like no other place on the east coast probably could. As Brooklyn wedding photographers, Michele and I have experience serving a diverse clientele which continues to increase at an exponential rate every year.
I love meeting other New Yorkers, and it takes no time before many of our clients are getting along just as old friends might. It’s during Engagement sessions and weddings when Michele and I shine brightest, as we love exploring the dynamic between couples through photography. We look forward to working with ALL couples to make you look natural and your best!
