Susan and Delroy’s E-session | Brooklyn Bridge Park, NY

Susan and Delroy booked me for their upcoming wedding (August 7, 2011) several months ago, back in November of 2010. As a feature of the service they booked, I was to provide an Engagement photography session for them at some point. It’d been a long and lingering winter and so we waited an uncharacteristically long time before we had consistently warm temps and sunny weather. Even under such conditions, I still went ahead and planned our session for a weekend I believed we’d have a reasonable chance of sunny skies and warm temp.

Our session was not only designed to get photos, but we also planned to have a short interview for the purpose of the collaboration between Casey and I,  providing wedding photography and videography together.

Where: Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn NY

When: June 5, 2011

Who: Susan & Delroy (our couple) , Michele J., Casey C.,  and myself.

Here are some of my favorite frames from our session. The weather was partly cloudy, but it was warm. I only asked that the skies didn’t open up and start to rain before we were through. Somewhat disappointedly, the skies only got clear and sunny again AFTER we called it a wrap. Can’t win all the time.

Stay tuned for images from their wedding which’ll take place in August at Westbury Manor.

My love of portrait photography at the core stems from my curiosity and interest in people’s lives. Being a New Yorker puts me in touch with so many people at any given moment that it fuels my curiosity like no other place on the east coast probably could. As Brooklyn wedding photographers, Michele and I have experience serving a diverse clientele which continues to increase at an exponential rate every year.
I love meeting other New Yorkers, and it takes no time before many of our clients are getting along just as old friends might. It’s during Engagement sessions and weddings when Michele and I shine brightest, as we love exploring the dynamic between couples through photography. We look forward to working with ALL couples to make you look natural and your best!
