I hired Carlos to shoot my friends wedding last year. She had a small wedding in Central Park and we wanted someone to capture how intimate it was. My firend is also very shy and doesn’t like her picture taken so I needed someone that could make her comfortable. Carlos was amazing! Not only is he so easy to work with, his pictures were beautiful. He didn’t miss a thing and every one of the shots really tell a story of the entire day. He has an amazing eye, and he had great suggestions on locations in the park to take pictures. He really did his homework. We couldn’t have been happier with the pictures. I did a maternity shoot with CAT Eye Photography and it was a great experience. I had never had my photograph taken by a professional photographer and was pretty shy about getting my photo taken. Carlos came to my home to do the shoot & made me feel very comfortable & confident. We had fun with the shoot at the same time! I was very pleased with the end result and would definitely use Carlos Thomas Photography if I needed a professional photographer in the future!
My fiance and I recently did an engagement photo shoot with this photographer in Fort Greene, BK. It went well – I thought Carlos gave really great direction during the shoot and he put me and my fiance at ease. I just got back the photographs and they are lovely! Carlos has a great eye for scenery – there are a couple of shots that I was not sure would come out well (while shooting) but the results are fabulous! And I would also say the photos are great representation of who we are as a couple.
Full disclosure: my fiance is not as pleased with the photos as I am, but only because he did not like the way he looked with his beard in the photos. (I happen to love my man with his beard, however. Just my preference!) Carlos is good but he will not be giving someone a shave post photo-shoot production. A tip if you decide to go with Carlos or any other photographer for a shoot like this – you should be totally comfortable with what you’re wearing, your hair, etc BEFORE the photo shoot! Contact the photographer if you have any questions about attire, hair, etc.
